You may think the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already enormous, but there’s still countless major characters out there that haven’t been introduced yet. I’ve narrowed hundreds down into just ten. I’m a huge fan of these characters, and I feel like these particular ones could add a lot to the already established universe. I won’t be including any X-Men in this list so that there’s more variety.
Honourable mentions: Black Cat, Spider-Woman, Viv Vision, Gladiator, Elsa Bloodstone.
10. Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur
A really fun duo with a light-hearted and sweet comic series. The smartest person and Earth and her pet dinosaur would fit in perfectly with a team of young Avengers in the MCU.A television series would also be great for them.
9. Ghost Rider (Johnny)
Surely we have to see a Ghost Rider appear in the MCU sooner or later. If I had to choose one, it would be the badass Johnny Blaze. We could then eventually get a Midnight Sons film lead by Doctor Strange too.
8. Nova (Richard)
There's been a lot of talk about Richard Rider coming into the MCU at some point, so I'm certain he'll be in there soon. He's a great characters with some sweet powers. The cosmic side of the MCU will continue to grow, so characters like this are a must for the future. He's be a great addition to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
7. Beta Ray Bill
I'm hoping he'll be announced to be part of Thor: Love and Thunder. Three Thors in one film would be insane. Beta Ray Bill is a humanoid horse-like creature with the powers of Thor, and he's an absolute badass. His face was actually constructed into the Grandmaster's building in Thor: Ragnarok, along with other champions of his arena, so we know that he's already in the MCU universe, so it's only a matter of time before he shows up.
6. Hercules
Yes, Hercules is a major Marvel character. He might actually show up in The Eternals next year, which would be a really nice surprise. He'd also be a good replacement for Thor when he eventually leaves the MCU. Instead of Thor and Asgard, we'd have Hercules and Olympus. Marvel's Hercules isn't the one you're used to that's been portrayed on the big screen so much already, so the general audience might be in for a nice surprise if we see him in the MCU eventually.
5. Angela
Yes, this list is full of powerhouses. Angela is one of the most badass female superheroes there is, and would be so epic on the big screen. She's Thor's long lost sister from another dimension, but they already played that card with Hela, so I can imagine the MCU version of Angela would just be an Asgardian with no ties to Thor's family. She could be introduced in a future Thor or Guardians of the Galaxy film.
4. Galactus
If you thought Thanos was a big threat, then you haven't seen anything yet. Galactus is one of the most powerful beings in the universe, and could destroy every superhero in the MCU without even trying. I'm hoping Galactus will be the next overall big bad of the MCU, who'll be teased for phases four and five, then finally confront the heroes in phase six. He's also a great way to introduce some of the cosmic heroes like Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill and Nova, etc. as his Heralds.
3. Doctor Doom
While Galactus acts as the overall big bad of the MCU, Doctor Doom should be the main villain until Galactus makes his appearance. Doom has the potential to be the next Loki - a character that starts out as a feared villain for not just the Fantastic Four, but the Avengers as well, who then eventually changes his ways and helps the heroes fight a bigger evil. If they get the right directors and writers to handle Doom, he could end up being the best villain the entire MCU. Yes, even better than Thanos.
2. Silver Surfer
Silver Surfer's appearance in the Fantastic Four film was alright, but we all know Marvel is going to handle him so much better. He's going to be one of the coolest characters to see on the big screen because of his design and powers. There's a lot that can be done with his character. Will he start in a villainous role as a Herald of Galactus in an Avengers film, or will he start as a hero in a Fantastic Four film? Who knows. Either way, I can't wait until he appears.
1. Nova (Sam)
Most of this list has been cosmic characters, but like I said before, the MCU is going to expand the cosmic side of it's universe, so it makes sense to include them all. I wouldn't classify Samuel Alexander as a solely cosmic character, as he spends a lot of his time protecting the Earth. He's a young superhero who's currently a member of the Champions with Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man (Miles), and others, so he could get introduced in a Young Avengers film, which would be great. Sam is just a really fun character to read in the comics, and the adventures he goes on is something I'd love to see on the big screen. I'd also really like to see Richard Rider help train Sam.
